STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PENGARUH SUDUT PIPA MASUK (DRIVEN PIPE) DAN DIAMETER KATUP PENGHANTAR (DELIVERY VALVE) TERHADAP EFISIENSI POMPA HIDRAM 2 INCHI

ABSTRACT: It is undeniable that, the demand for water increases, but the availability of water relatively stable. Therefore, a technology has to be searched and developed to provide an adequate irrigation, efficient technology, efficient and economical, so that water availability and distribution can be managed well. One of the technological innovations, namely ram pump is a solution, because it does not require an electrical energy of the fuel. Beside that, this technology has a low operational cost and does not cause the economic burden for farmers. This experiment has done to know the efficiency of hydraulic ram pump by using driven pipe angle variations and delivery valve diameter. The hydraulic ramp pump used in this experiment has 2  inch inlet pipe (D) and 0.5 inch outlet pipe (d). After the experiment and analysis regression, resulting from that factors delivery valve diameter more influence the efficiency than the driven pipe angle.The highest efficiency of experiment result is driven pipe angle measure 8° and delivery valve diameter measure 1.5 inches, the efficiency is 43.18% at  D’ Aubussion efficiency and 37.61 % of Rankine efficiency
