UPAYA PEMERINTAH THAILAND DALAM PENYELESAIAN KONFLIK DI THAILAND SELATAN TAHUN 2004-2009
Abstract: The research aims to
find out how The Thailand Government Efforts on Resolution Conflict In South
Thailand At 2004-2009. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using
literature study. The data used are secondary data obtained through literature
studies conducted on many books and obtained using literature studies conducted
on many books and is obtained based on records related to the research, in
addition to researchers using the data obtained from the internet. Concept or
theories used this research were the Theory of Conflict Causes and Conflict
Theory. The results showed that at least three actors involved in the conflict
with the Thailand Government in South Thailand. The first is the National Liberation
Front of Patani (NLFP) chaired by Tengku Mahyidin. The second is the Liberation
Front of Patani Republic (LFRP) chaired by Ustad Karim Haji Hassan. The third
is the Patani United Liberation Organization, headed by Kubira Kotanila and
Aaron Muleng. Then there were three attempts by the Thailand Government to
resolve the conflict in South Thailand. First, it is with the conciliation
efforts to resolve the conflict by economic approach that has been taken by the
government of Thailand for the provision of subsidies and granting of special
autonomy. Second, by making mediation efforts by one of the countries involved,
namely Indonesia. Indonesia is believed to mediate the conflict in South
Thailand because of the experience of Indonesia who have experienced conflict,
other than that Indonesia is a country that is neutral. Third, by coercion
attempts have also been made by the Thailand Government to provide military
emergency status regions like South Thailand.
