KOMPETISI MILITER DI ASIA TENGGARA MENJELANG ASEAN SECURITY COMMUNITY (ASC) 2015
Abstract: ASEAN establish ASC
(ASEAN security community) that aims to reduce conflicts and strengthen
regional cooperation delivered. However, in the region of Southeast Asia
happened several threats such as terrorism, human trafficking, and military
competition. in the era of globalization began to pass sophisticated military
competition that resulted in a security dilemma in the region of Southeast
Asia. The competition is intended to maintain the military capability of the
territorial integrity and national security. In addition to creating a safe
area with a prevention strategy, which requires a great military power. But it
makes other countries look to be a security threat to the country for regional
security, then further encourage countries to further increase its military
strength in terms of quantity and quality which can lead to an arms race in the
region and will become a new regional threat.
