HUBUNGAN EKONOMI UNI EROPA – RUSIA PASCA KRISIS KRIMEA
Abstract: The main purpose of
this research is to describe and explore how the economic relation between
European Union and Russia after Crimean Crisis. Theory or concept used in this
study is the theory of neorealism. The type of this research is descriptive,
that describes the economic relation between European Union and Russia after
Crimean Crisis. The result of the research have shown that the Crimean Crisis
had the impact to relationship of European Union and Russia, especially in
economic matter. The tension between both actors was increased after the
annexation of Crimea by Russian Federation. The European Union accused Russia
for breaking Ukraine’s Sovereignity. Therefore The European Union brought
sanctions on Russia in the hope that Russia would draw out its intervention in
Ukraine’s conflict, however Russia refuse all accusations in connection with
political conflict in Ukraine, and even showed that they do not want to be
influenced by European Union’s sanctions and its reluctance to submit to
European Union’s wish, by bringing countermeasures on European Union. These
actions of sanctions that had impact on their economic relation. It can be seen
by the decrease of trade value between both parties in 2014 and 2015.
