PERANAN SAKSI KORBAN DALAM PENYIDIKAN TINDAK PIDANA PEMERKOSAAN DI POLSEK BATANG ANAI KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN
Abstract: In the case of a
rape investigation conducted by the police the victim has a very important
role, because without the support of the victims of the investigator will have
difficulty in conductingthe investigation. The problems discussed are: 1) How
is the role of the crime of rape victim witness in the investigation process in
police Batang Anai? 2) What is the legal protection of crime victims of rape
witness in the investigation process in police Batang Anai ?. The research approach
used is Juridical Sociological approach, the author uses primary data and
secondary data collection techniques to the study interview and study
documents, material collected in qualitative analysis. Conclusion The results
of the study: 1) In the process of investigation of criminal offenses of rape,
victim witness has a very important role, In this case, the role of witnesses
as a key witness, which provide information clearly and openly about the crime
ofrape which he experienced to the investigator. 2) protection of the law
against rape victim witness criminal acts at the level of the investigation is
to be provided a special room at thepolice station at the time of giving testimony
and shall remain anonymous and LSM shall protect and make the victim feel safe
and are not pressured by any party.
