Peranan Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Dalam Memberikan Rekomendasi Rehabilitasi Terhadap Pecandu Narkotika (Studi: Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Provinsi Sumatera Barat)
ABSTRACT: Drug addicts are
victims of drug abuse and is not a criminal, so we need to save drug addicts
from drug addiction by way of rehabilitation . Agency authorized to make
recommendations for rehabilitation is the National Narcotics Agency ( BNN ) .
The formulation of the problem is ( 1 ) How is the role of the National
Narcotics Agency ( BNN ) West Sumatra Province in providing recommendations to
the rehabilitation of drug addicts ? ( 2 ) What problems were found by the
National Narcotics Agency ( BNN ) West Sumatra Province in providing
recommendations to the rehabilitation of drug addicts ? . This type of research
is a socio-juridical legal research with the data source used is primary data and
secondary data and data collection techniques are the interviews and document
research . Conclusion of the study ( 1 ) The role of West Sumatra province BNN
is instrumental in providing recommendations to the rehabilitation of drug
addicts . This is evidenced by annually BNN West Sumatra province have
recommended and sent 20 people to be rehabilitated drug addicts in Lido
Sukabumi, West Java . In providing recommendations for rehabilitation , BNN
West Sumatra province has cooperated with the Institute Recipient Obligation
Report ( IPWL ) appointed by the Regional Government of Sumatra . ( 2 )
Constraints found by BNN is a lack of central Sumatra Province rehabilitai and
lack of vertical institutions of BNN .
