BRAND REGISTRATION OF TOUR AND TRAVEL SERVICES PT. JAYA MAJOR TOUR IN SOLOK CITY
Abstract: Brand is a tool
identifier that is used by people or companies on products produced in the form
of goods or services. The author raised about the registration of the mark
because there are many businesses that have not registered their business
brand. Business operators considered by the Business License and the location
permit they have done a trademark registration. The author chose PT. Jaya Utama
Travel to study because this company is quite known to the public, and the
strategic location of the company. The study is how the implementation of the
registration of the mark?, What are the benefits of registering brand?, And
what obstacles faced when registering the brand?. The method used in this study
is that the juridical sociological research conducted in the field to obtain
primary data through interviews with informants with semi-structured questions,
then do the research literature conducted on the literature to obtain secondary
data. After the data collected qualitative analysis. The results of this study
concluded that the implementation of trademark registration PT. Jaya's main
tourist in accordance with Act 15 of 2001 on Marks. PT. Utama Jaya Tourism
benefit in the form of legal protection. The problem faced when registering a
brand that is on the old registration process huge cost.
