TEKNOLOGI PENANGKAPAN IKAN DENGAN BUBU DAN GILL NET PADA AREA BUDIDAYA RUMPUT LAUT DI PERAIRAN KABUPATEN TAKALAR
ABSTRACT: The development of
seaweed culture technology has created positive impact to coastal ecosystem.
This research was aimed to optimize the potential use of fisheries resources.
This optimalisation can be done through technology inventions and innovations
of gill net. This research was conducted through a study case and a field trial
in dusun Puntondo, Desa Laikang, Kecamatan Mangarabombang, Takalar Regency.
Results showed an increase in fishermen’s income. After 3 months trial on the
use of the gill net and fish trap bubu beneath the seaweed culture, it yielded
88 and 112 fish (respectively). Local community of the fishermen was involved
in this research, whom were selected based on the objectives of this research,
The innovation of this research is expected to become a model for the
development and sustainable management of coastal resources, creating an appropriate
technology for fish catch, maximizing the use of spaces beneath the seaweed
culture with high economic values, as well as creating diversification in the
livelihood of the fishermen effectively.
