PERFORMA KIAMBANG (Lemna minor) SEBAGAI BIOFILTER DALAM SISTEM AKUAKULTUR RESIRKULASI

ABSTRACT: This research aimed to analyze the growth rate population and retention of nitrogen and phosphorus from fish waste by duckweed (Lemna minor) that grown in a series bioreactor of aquaculture recirculating system. Completely randomized block design was applied within three different water flow rate treatments (3 lpm, 5 lpm and 7 lpm) in three blocks. The result of the treatments showed that doubling time of duckweed reached 2.2 ± 1.6 days and were able to retain 39.40 ± 0.34 % of TAN dan 65.1 ± 22.1 % of PO4-P. However, there was no significant different (P > 0.05) of their growth rate among due to the flow rate treatments
