THE MASTERY OF ADJECTIVE CLAUSES BY THE SECOND YEAR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (Case Study: SMA Alwashliyah Medan)
ABSTRACT: This research
concerns with the
discussion of adjective
clauses achievement in
English. The problem
of this research is ‘How is
the students’ ability in using
adjective clauses. The
objective of this research
is to measure how far the
students’ ability in using adjective clauses. This research belongs to the
descriptive quantitative. The data
were collected by
using tests of
adjective clauses. To get the
data, the second
year students of
SMA Al Washliyah Medan
were treated as respondents. The
population of this
research is the
achievement of forty respondents in adjective clauses. After
the data were analyzed, it is concluded that the second year students are able to use adjective
clauses. It is suggested that the teacher should explain as much as possible
abput adjective clauses contextually.
