ON STREET PARKING DAN KERUGIAN TRANSPORTASI
ABSTRACT: One of the causes of
urban road service levels are low is on street parking which is not organized.
This, results in the loss of transportation, either the value of time or
Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC). This study aims to calculate the capacity of the
road, VOC on condition of on street parking and on-street free parking
conditions and the loss of value of time due to congestion caused by on-street
parking. In addition, this study also calculates parking fees income on average
per day and will be compared with existing transport losses. The methodology of
this research is to conduct traffic surveys. The survey was conducted to obtain
the necessary data and to analyze the losses due to the reduction of road
transport by parking. Such data includes: the geometrical data, vehicle speed,
travel time, traffic volume, vehicle operating cost components, parking fees
and parking volume. In this study, a survey carried out on holidays and normal
work. From this study it can be concluded that the presence of parking in the
body resulting in a loss of transportation in terms of capacity reduction, VOC
and loss of time value. Transportation losses are greater than revenues parking
fees.
