Pengaruh Pengawasan Internal Dan Eksternal Terhadap Kinerja Instansi Pada Pemerintah Kota Padang (Studi Empiris Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah Kota Padang)
Abstract:This study aims
determine : 1. The effect of Internal Control on Performance of Padang’s
Government Agencies 2. The effect of External Control on Performance of
Padang’s Government Agencies.
Type of the study is causative. Data collection using questionnaire
survey instruments with Cluster random technique as sampling collection
technique. The Samples in this study is chiefs of Padang’s Government Agencies.
Analytical Technique used in this study is multiple regression and t-test to
determine the effect partially.
The result of this study indicates : 1. Internal Control has positive
significant effect on Performance of Padang’s Government Agencies (H1 accepted)
with t count > t Table which 5,096 > 1,998 (sig 0,000<0,05)2. External
Control has positive significant effect on Performance of Padang’s Government
Agencies (H2 accepted) with t count > t Table which yaitu 2,077 >
1,998 (sig 0,040<0,05). This study
suggested that : 1) The government officials should continue to improve the
monitoring of the performance, so that irregularities and fraud can be avoided.
2) Clarity of rules and supervision by authorized parties should be clarified
in order to reduce cases of irregularities both in quality and quantity of work
in achieving goals. 3) continuous monitoring in order to achieve the
objectives, goals and targets, the organization of work, thus giving impetus to
improve its performance. 4) The results of monitoring and evaluation is
expected to be a guide, in order to find out the weaknesses that happen to
improvements for future periods.
