ANALISIS REAKSI PASAR SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH PENGUMUMAN AKUISISI PT. HANJAYA MANDALA SAMPOERNA TBK

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to analyze the impact of acquisition announcement in stock market. The observation was done in  eleven  days,  consist  of  five  days  before  announcement, announcment day, and five days after the acquisition announcement. Statistical  experimental  use  paired  sample  t-test.  The  result  of  this research shows that before acquisition announcement, four out of five days  abnormal  return  are  positive.  The  highest  abnormal  return  is found on the day of announcement. After announcement, four out of five  abnormal  return  are  negative.  The conclusion  is  market react to acquisition  announcement  of  PT.  HM  Sampoerna  Tbk.,  but  there  is no  difference  between  the  reaction  before  and  after  the  acquisition announcement.
