Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Dukungan Keluarga pada Pemberian Gizi Anak Autis di Yayasan Autisme Center “CAKRA” Pucang Jajar Surabaya
ABSTRACT: Acceptance of
children with autism is influenced by the support of a large family, the family's
financial capability, religious background, education level, age and level of knowledge.
Parents of children with autism often report that food can affect growth and aggravate
symptoms of their children. The research objective was to analyze the
relationship between the economy, education, age and knowledge with the family
in the provision of nutritional support children with autism at Autism Center
Foundation "CAKRA" Pucang Jajar Surabaya.
The study design using analytical design correlation with cross-sectional
approach. Sampling with Non-probability sampling technique with purposive
sampling counted 32 respondents. The research variables are economic factors,
education, age and knowledge to support the family. The collection of data obtained through demographic data and questionnaire.
Data were analyzed using Spearman Rho test with ρ ≤ 0.05 significance level. Results
showed there is a relationship with the father of economic factors support the family
(ρ=0.002), there is a correlation between maternal education with the support
of the family (ρ=0.004), there is a correlation between maternal age with the
support of the family (ρ=0.001), there is a correlation between knowledge with
the support of the family (ρ=0.004).
The implications of this research addressing that economic factors,
education, age and knowledge have been associated with the provision of
nutritional support for families of children with autism is hoped that parents
and schools can eliminate a source of food or beverages that contain gluten and
casein proteins.
