STUDI PENGHEMATAN ENERGI LISTRIK PADA RUANG KULIAH

Abstract: Public awareness of energy saving electricity is still lacking, seen from the way they were not extinguish electric lights, after use. For that, necessary electrical energy savings without reducing comfort room of user activity. One solution used to save energy is to use sensor Passive Infrared Receiver (PIR). PIR sensor is a sensor that detects motion manusia.Bila someone came into the room, then there will be movement in the room they will be, so the lights and AC (Air Conditioner)  will  automatically  work.  However,  when  in  the  room  there  was  no  movement  it automatically lights and air-conditioning will be extinguished. Based on the schedule of lectures on  one  of  Higher  Education  -  Study  program  Electrical,  long  use  of  electrical  energy  in  the lecture hall rate Airs 5 hours per day, but in fact the use of electricity is still running even though there was no schedule of lectures, so long overall electricity usage to 8 hours per day . By using a PIR sensor can be electrical energy savings in the lecture hall only be 3 hours per day. Therefore, it is necessary to do research on electrical energy savings.
