ASPEK FINANSIAL DAN PEMASARAN USAHA BUDIDAYA RUMPUT LAUT DI KOTA BONTANG

ABSTRACT: This  study  aims  to  analyze  the  feasibility  of  seaweed  cultivation  on  the  basis  of  financial  and marketing  aspects  of  farmer  groups  in  Melahing,  Selangan  and  Tihik-tihik  village,  Bontang  City.   Data  analysis  was  performed  with  financial  analysis  and  marketing  analysis.  The  results  showed the cultivation of seaweed, with total area of 0.55 ha (50 m x 100 m), and the number of lanes is 50, is financially feasible with the indicators: average annual earnings = Rp. 134.885.000, NVP = Rp. 339,413,818, IRR = 148%, Net B / C = 5,67 and payback period = 0,9 years. This business is sensitive to economic changes such as revenue decrease (volume production) up to 45%, increase in total operating expenses 30% - 50%, followed by 20% - 30% of decrease in production volume and  decrease  in  selling  price  until  it  reaches  Rp.6.200  per  kg. Marketing  chain  that  happens  has efficiency level of 84.14% (efficiency> 50%), with profit margins for farmers and local traders for each is 2.000 per kg, and 2.500 per kg.
