Analisis Tegangan Sags Akibat Pengasutan Motor Induksi Menggunakan Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR)

Abstract: The modeling and analysis of Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) for improving the voltage sag due to the motor starting is  discussed in this paper. DVR is installed through a transformer in series between the feeder and the sensitive load to compensate the voltage sag during the disturbance. To determine the optimum location of DVR, the load flow analysis is performed. Based on the load flow analysis, the worst voltage bus profile will be determined and as a candidate for the optimum location of DVR. To show the impact of DVR, then dynamic analysis is performed during the motor starting. The three conditions for motor starting  are: one unit motor of 55 kW, half block system load of 28 unit motor (340 kW); and full blok system of 39 unit motors (544.3 kW). The simulation results show that the voltage sag can be compensated up to 99%, 97% and 94% for the cases one unit, half block and full block unit motors.
