STUDI EMISI GAS BUANG KENDARAAN BERMESIN BENSIN PADA BERBAGAI MERK KENDARAAN DAN TAHUN PEMBUATAN
ABSTRACT: The growing of gas
emission produced by motor vehicle has
become a major environmental concern globally
and this can
be atributed to
the increase in
motor vehicle usage
as well as
population especially in areas
of large population
and highly industrialized nations.
In the present
work, gas emission producing by
petrol-engined vehicles was investigated. The study was conducted for various vehicle brand
in differenet years
of manufacture using
descriptive analitycal methods.
The exhaust gas emission level
that are examined including
carbonmonoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons
(HC) using Exhaust Gas Analyzer
in idle mode.
The collected data and
its analysis showed
that the younger
the age, the number of motor vehicle who do not pass the test (failed)
tend to decline and A motor vehicle that
had failed to
test as much
as 28,86 %
dominated by old
motor vehicle (production
in 2000 and earlier). The Motor vehicles produced in
2004 and afterward mostly have met a threshold limit of 1.5 % CO and 200 ppm
HC.
