UPAYA DIPLOMATIK INDONESIA TERHADAP CHINA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN POTENSI KONFLIK LANDAS KONTINEN NATUNA DI LAUT CHINA SELATAN
Abstract: Sovereignty claims
over almost all of South China Sea region by China could be turn into
territorial potential conflicts with Indonesia. Because water territory of
Natuna will get the spilled over effect from that claim. Although Indonesia is
not one of the state claimants South China Sea, Indonesia has interests that
must be maintained, political interests which related with regional stability
that will be impacted directly to Indonesia also economic interests, especially
at exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Natuna.
Indonesia through zero draft code of conduct together with China creates
mutual trust, prevent incidents, and manage the incidents if there is happen.
Declaration on The Conduct of The Parties in the South China Sea is a
progressive effort in reducing the potential for conflict and the development
of cooperation in the South China Sea.
