PERAN PROGRAM ACICIS (AUSTRALIAN CONCORTIUM FOR IN COUNTRY INDONESIAN STUDIES) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN DI INDONESIA
Abstract: This research
purpose is to know how the implementation of the program ACICIS (Australian
Concortium for 'In Country' Indonesian Studies) as a forum for international
cooperation built by Australia to assist students - students from overseas to
study in Indonesia. In practice, ACICIS programs in cooperation with
universities - universities in Indonesia. Type of research used by the authors
in this study was descriptive research type, in which the study describes the
implementation ACICIS in providing the opportunity to pursue academic studies
on Indonesia into field practice and by implementing programs that have been
provided. Data - the data presented in this study is primary data that is
secondary data, which the authors obtained from a variety of books - books such
as, magazines, articles, journals, and newspapers relating to the subject of
the research. Data collection techniques sourced from a number of literature
(Library Research) relevant to the research that is being studied in the
writing of research (through books, journals, and access from the internet).
Techniques of analysis in this study used qualitative methods of research
methods that communicate data with each other data relevant to the research
problem ACICIS Implementation Program to Improve the Quality of Education in
Indonesia as a forum for international cooperation of sources – existing written
sources such as the internet, magazines, newspapers, literature, and reference
books - books.
The results showed that the implementation of ACICIS in improving the
quality of education in Indonesia, namely the implementation of the program in
several ways, such as providing facilities for Australian students who
undertake studies in Indonesia, such as shelter, ease of maintenance of accommodation
during his stay in Indonesia, provide options for courses ACICIS candidates as
professional development practicum Studies, Development Studies Immersion
Program, The Indonesian Language Teacher Immersion, Flexible Immersion at the
University of Gadjah Mada, Field Studies, Islamic Studies, The Internship,
Practicum Professional Journalism, International Relations Studies, and Arts of
Indonesia, as well as Perform student exchange between Indonesia and Australia.
