Peran Pemerintah dalam Pengembangan UKM Berorientasi Ekspor (Studi Kasus: Klaster Kasongan dalam Rantai Nilai Tambah Global)
Abstract: This research
describes about governments’ synergy in their attempt toboost the upgrading of
pottery in Kasongan using local economicdevelopment programs. This synergy can
be seen from the craftmenshippolicy in which the public and the private sector
such as individuals,universities, and banks are involved as a (joint venture)
to enhance theupgrading in the effort of gaining the global market. The
upgrading conceptis a part of Global Value Chain analysis as a method in
examining theadded value gained from the product distribution in the global
market. Theresult of this research shows that kasongan’s pottery industry
center iscapable in performing three upgrading processes, which are
designupgrading, labor upgrading using labor development, and also marketingupgrading
by develop some galleries. It is can be seen from the absent of the synergy
among the governments, privates, and public.
