IMPLEMENTASI KERJASAMA PERTAHANAN KEAMANAN ANTARA AMERIKA SERIKAT DAN KOREA SELATAN DALAM KERANGKA PROLIFERATION SECURITY INITIATIVE (PSI) 2009
Abstract: The implementation
of security defence cooperation between US and South Korea in PSI plan 2009 is
the process of implementation that have correlation between US and South Korea
as a step for keeping security in cape of Korea, such as the provision of
military equipment and military training together from North Korea attacks from
ships which are indicated transporting mass destruction weapon and stop
trafficking of it in PSI plan agreement 2009. The implementation’s done by
re-opening Youngsan base in Seoul also number of bases in South Korea. US an
South Korea agree to transfer operational control. Each country increased the
troops to 28.500 personils to be placed in the mutual military base in South
Korea and military training as well at the offshore, west of Taean city, in
south far Yellow Ocean border and the detention from North Korea that announced
cancellation peace agreement that has been agreed with South Korea. About
non-aggression fact which is called Principle Agreement and Yellow Ocean border
agreement won’t guarantee safety of US and South Korea navy that sail near to
conflict area at the west Korea Sea because considered North Korea sovereignty
violation is no longer bounded to armistice that ended the Korean War at
1950-1953 (Principle Agreement). Because of the US as the one of party who sign
the armistice has ignored their responsibility by involving South Korea in PSI,
North Korea fired their short range missile from their eastern sea. They also
warned ships to get away from western sea of North Korea and shoot 90
artilleries to South Korea.
