FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG MELATARBELAKANGI PENINGKATAN GERAKAN OKUPASI INTERNASIONAL PASCA OCCUPY WALL STREET TAHUN 2011
Abstract: This study aims to
describe factors behind the increased international movement occupational after
the initial wave of ‘Occupy’ protests that occurred on Wall Street, New York.
The first occupy happened at Wall Street in September 2011 was rated as a movement
inspiring international occupation movement spread to the world. Occupy
Movement slogan 99 % vs. 1 % as a representation of the fight against global
inequality. On October 15, 2011 Occupy Movement happening simultaneously around
951 cities in about 80 countries . In other words, this mass movement can
spread rapidly to various parts of the world accompanied by a considerable mass
mobilization and the widespread propaganda against inequality global conditions
indicate the existence of society political partisipation in a movement that is
represented in the development of occupational global interaction networks of
international solidarity.The results of research on the Factors behind the
increase in the international occupation movement post-Occupy Wall Street 2011,
showed that the international solidarity network Occupy significantly increased
the action is motivated by the form of the negative effects of neoliberalism
which raises welfare distribution gap, causing a reaction in the public
protests Occupy movement develops and then build a network of solidarity
occupation of international interaction .
