ANALISIS KERJASAMA CHINA-UNI EROPA DALAM PROGRAM NERA ZERO EMISSION COAL (NZEC)
Abstract: The purpose of this
research is to describe the implementation of China - EU technology through CCS
(Carbon Capture and Stronge) in addressing the increase of carbon dioxide
caused by coal, which began in 2006. The research method is
descriptive-Analytic, where the authors analyze China cooperation - European
Union in the Near Zero Emission Coal program in China, where they signed a
memorandum of cooperation that began in 2005. The data those are presented in
this study are Secondary datas which are obtained from literature review and
literatures such as books, the Internet, and others. The analysis method used
in this Study qualitative analysis.
The result of this study showed that the EU and China get a lot of
benefits through that cooperation that
has been run. One of advantage of this cooperation is that in China whare the
NZEC would be run in, included the establisment of CCS technology. The CCS
tachnology is used to reduce the carbon emition produced by power plant that
used coal as it’s fuels and also the European Union can increase carbon
emissions reduction quotas that have been set by the Kyoto Protocol as Annex I
obligations, in order to achieve emissions reduction by 2020.
