Peran Perguruan Tinggi dalam Aplikasi Variasi Model Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa di Jawa Barat
Abstrak: This paper identifies
people empowerment models based on socioeconomy characteristics of rural areas
in West Java. Furthermore, the paper
tries to reconstruct university role as part of those models. Three practices
of people empowerment are listed below: development for community, development
with community, and development of community.
An observation toward certain rurals in West Java has found out that
development with community model adjust perfectly in most places in West
Java. For village cathegorized as center
of growth, a model of development of
community was proposed. High education institution has different roles for each
models. For example, a role as facilitator and consultant is marked
as university role for the
development of community models. Meanwhile, development with community models
required university to act as coaching
for public in order to strengthening and guarding the process of development.
