STUDI HASIL TANGKAPAN IKAN BUBU DASAR DI DAERAH PERAIRAN RAWA KECAMATAN MARANG KAYU KABUPATEN KUTAI KARTANEGARA
ABSTRACT: This research aims
to determine kind of fish catches and best bait used on bottom fish trap/pot at
Marang Kayu waters Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Collecting of catch was held for
1 week at two stations. This research used 4 treatments bottom trap consist of
frog, shrimp paste, waste food bait and
bottom trap without
bait. The length,
weight and number
of catches were
measured. The results showed that
kind of fish caught were snake head, catfish, climbing pearch. Total catch from
station one and two with frog bait were 39 fishes with 2.825 gr total weight,
shrimp paste bait were 52 fishes with 3.421 gr total weight, food waste bait
were 53 fishes with 3.086 gr total weight and fish trap
without bait were
14 fishes with
total weight 529
gr. The conclusion from
this four bait treatments that
using shrimp paste was the best bait due to the weight of total catch.
