conventional method. Most
students only receive
the materials submitted by
teachers without analyzing and rethinking. This situasion makes them difficult to convey an idea. In mathematics,
communication is one of the competencies which are crucial. Communication skills help them
to express ideas
orally and in
writing, so as to
create an inference
and give reasons
for a solution. This paper will
discuss the communication skill of mathematics and one of the strategies that
can be done to develop these skills is a active learning strategy the power of
