SINTESIS, KARAKTERISASI DAN UJI AKTIFITAS FOTOKATALITIK NANOKOMPOSIT TiO2-ZnFe2O4

Abstract: TiO2-ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite photocatalyst has been successfully synthesized by coprecipitation/hydrolysis method. The nanocomposites were characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy-Electron Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). SEM images show that the TiO2-ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite (1:0,1) has homogenous surface and particle size. XRD pattern show that the highest intensity of anatase was TiO2-ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite (1:0,1) with highest calcination temperature, 600oC at 2θ = 25,26o. The present of ZnFe2O4 prevent transformation of anatase to rutil. ZnFe2O4 showed the peaks at 2θ = 53,9o and 62,8o. Magnetic properties analysis indicated that TiO2-ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite has soft magnetic property than ZnFe2O4. Photocatalytic activity of TiO2-ZnFe2O4 nanocomposites in degradation of Rhodamine B under solar light irradiation showed higher activity than ZnFe2O4 and TiO2 synthesized.
