MODEL COOPERATIVE LEARNING TIPE THINK PAIR SQUARE DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DI KELAS VII SMPN 1 PULAU PUNJUNG
Abstract: The fact that
happened in school showed that the applied learning method is less varied.
Group discussion method is rarely applied. It cause the students are not
accustomed to sharing and working together with other friends in solving a
mathematical problem. Student activities are individual, rarely seen brilliant
student wants to teach her friends who
do not understand. It cause the student being passive so that it affecting
learning outcomes. One way that can be done to overcome this is by developing
an attitude of mutual cooperation in the learning process. The way such
as by applying Cooperative Learning Model with Think Pair Square Type.
Therefore, this research was conducted in order to determine students'
mathematics learning outcomes using Cooperative Learning Model with Think Pair
Square Type. This research is experimental research. The result of the research
showes that the learning outcomes of students using Cooperative Learning Model
with Think Pair Square Type is higher than the student learning outcomes using
conventional learning. So, Cooperative Learning Model with Think Pair Square
Type can be used as an alternative in learning because it can improve student
learning outcomes.
