KESTABILAN SEL SURYA DENGAN FOTOSENSITIZER EKSTRAK ZAT WARNA KULIT JENGKOL (Pithecellobium lobatum Benth.)

Abstract: The stability of solar cell using the extract jengkol’s dyes as photosensitizer has been investigated. Their components consisting of working electrode TiO2, counter electrode graphite 2B pencil, and electrolyte I-/I3-. Dye extract was characterized by using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. It had been shown that the dye obtained have wider absorbtion in visible light range. A  series of solar cell were measured for their voltage value and current electricity, based on the variation of  time of soaking from 10 until 60 minutes. Result indicated that voltage and current electricity at 60 minutes of soaking gave better performance with 420 mV and 0,0148 mA, respectively. The stability of the solar cell was measurde based on its life duration. Addition of TiO2 gave absorbance from 1,111 – 0,632 where as without addition of the oxide then the absorbance are shifted from 1,680 – 0,570 measured at 530 nm.
