KANDUNGAN PIGMEN ASTAXANTHIN DARI MIKROALGA Botryococcus braunnii PADA BERBAGAI PENAMBAHAN NITROGEN DAN PHOSPHOR
Abstract: Botryococcus braunii
is a microalgae that produce astaxanthin . The content of astaxanthin in
microalgae cells is influenced by environmental factors and nutrition . One
source of nutrients that can influence the content of astaxanthin is nitrogen
and phosphorus . Nitrate as nitrogen source used in this study is potassium
nitrate at a concentration of 0.5 g / L ; 1 g / L ; 1.5 g / L ; 2 g / L and
phosphate as a phosphorus source used is potassium dihydrogen phosphate at a
concentration of 0.010 g / L ; 0.035 g / L ; 0.070 g / L ; 0.105 g / L.
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the astaxanthin dilakuakan with UV-
VIS spectrophotometric method and using the ANOVA statistical test . The
results showed that the maximum content of astaxanthin was obtained on the
medium with the addition of potassium nitrate with a concentration of 1.5 g / l
is equal to 1441.875 ppm and with the addition of potassium dihydrogen
phosphate at a concentration of 0.035 g / L 1331.583 ppm .
