ANALISIS EFISIENSI PERBANKAN NASIONAL BERDASARKAN UKURAN BANK: PENDEKATAN DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS
Abstrak: This study evaluates
the performance of the technical efficiency of banks in Indonesia during the
period 2008-2009 based on the size of the banks using Data Envelopment Analysis
approach (DEA). Empirical findings indicate that a large bank with economies of
scale (economics of scale) in its operations have a better level of efficiency
compared with medium and small banks. Economies of scale benefit the banks with
lower average cost per-unit with an increasingly large amount of the loan.
Efficiency level for banks that have not reached an optimum level can do the
repair potential (potential improvement) by increasing the output and or lower
the input to the reference (benchmarking) on the bank efficient
