HUBUNGAN ANTARA KADAR KOLESTEROL BAIK DENGAN PENURUNAN FUNGSI KOGNITIF PADA WANITA SETELAH MASA MENOPAUSE
Abstract: Cognitive function
represents someone’s intellectual function at the center of hippocampus and pre
frontal area. The aim of this research was to know the correlation between the
level of high density lipoprotein (HDL) and the decrease of cognitive function
in post menopause women. This re-search was an analytical observational study
with cross-sectional approach. The subjects of the re-search were 54 post
menopause women in Gonilan, Kartasura. They were chosen through simple random
sampling. Cognitive function data were obtained through MMSE (Mini Mental State
Examina-tion) questioner. Meanwhile, data of HDL level were carried out through
blood analysis. Both data were analyzed through statistic Chi Square test (÷2).
The result of the research showed that there was correlation between the level
of high density lipoprotein and the decrease of cognitive function in post menopause
women (p=0,000).
