STUDI MENGENAI PERFORMA MINYAK JARAK DENGAN PEMANFAATAN PADA KOMPOR SUMBU
ABSTRACT: Now people are
threatened by the conditions of supply and dwindling energy availability, then
for the sake of sustainable life, then humans must look for alternative energy.
One such effort is the use of Jatropha curcas oil as alternative fuel. These
efforts have become a national issue, and until now has not reach the meeting
point of optimal utilization. In the castor oil is there purification process
called degumming, as an effort to find out how far the level of effectiveness
for the benefit of the utilization of degumming process using wick stove, then
conducted research studies with the use of castor oil using wick stove. In this
research, processing of Jatropha, and processed into castor oil. The result is
degumming castor oil, and castor oil non degumming.
