Optimasi Pengujian Pompa Seri Dan Paralel
Abstract: Centrifugal pump is
the mechanism that transfers fluid in upward directions. In operating this
pump, there were variation installations that can be done, series, parallel and
series- parallel combinations. In installation design, the pump work performance
should be known. Thus, we design and build the instrument for series and
parallel pump study with variation in valve opened by 4/4, ¾, 2/4, and ¼. From
series test, we’ve got 20m head, 8.9 x 10-4-m3/s on ¼ valve opened with 89.85%
of efficiency. On 4/4 valve opened, the debit is 8.24 x 10-4 m3/s with
66.61 watt force.
By joining the
series and parallel
installation, its show
that series pump head
are greater than parallel
pump. It show’s
that 1st pump
head was forwarded to 2nd pump
and then pressured to the collector. Highest force was on parallel pump with
72.8%. It shows that the higher force been used the smaller efficiency we’ve
got and vice versa.
