MODIFIKASI MESIN UJI TARIK PLASTIK LABORATORIUM UJI BAHAN JURUSAN TEKNIK MESIN POLITEKNIK NEGERI SEMARANG
Abstract: The general
objective of this research is to improve the plastic tensile testing that
machine has been designed awake but has not been functioning properly. The
specific aims of this study were done: (1) improve the speed setting tensile
specimen, so that
tensile force indicated
by a clear
reading dial indicator,
(2) improve the construction of the specimen clamping to
better performance and practical use. Stages of research conducted include: (1)
determine the type
and size suitable
inverter, (2) determine
the design and
size of clamping equipment, (3) make clamping
equipment based on design, (4) assemble the components in unit plastic tensile testing
machine,
(5) test the
performance of the
unit plastic tensile
testing machine. The
results showed improvement
functions and operational of plastic tensile testing machine. Reading of
fracture stresses easier than before and the specimen clamping is not easy to
slip. The results of tensile testing for PVC material with a thickness of 3mm
and 4mm show valid results.
