Strategi Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Air Terpadu Di Sumatera Barat
Abstract: Management of water
resource utilization in West Sumatra is no longer applicable. In conducting
this managerial system, there are many sectors must be involved, therefore,
integrated management of water resource utilization (PSDAT), that can be seen
as the integration of both natural system and human or personal system. The
objective of this integration is to get the best result of this activity.
Integration of human or personal system includes managerial integration of
economic society, laws and involvement of stakeholders. In this plan, the
integration that will be discuss can be seen as the relationship between the
natural system and its influence toward the implementation of this project. The
finding of this study can be seen as the fact that PSDAT in West Sumatra needs
active participation or involvement of all interested parties especially in the
sector of management and the effectiveness of water resource utillization that
requires managerial integration of demand and supply. Besides, flood
controlling activity will be more effective by conducting adaptive activity or
by avoiding flooded areas. Layout of city must notice on the natural
topography, calculation of water density and applied laws.
