PENGALIRAN PADA INTI BENDUNGAN TIPE URUGAN PADA PENGGENANGAN PERTAMA WADUK
ABSTRACT: The first
impoundment on the fill dams can be considered as a critical phase during the
lifetime of the dam. The change to the embankment materials, especially on clay
core shall be carefully examined. Some dams were ruptured during their first
impounding due to the flow through the core. The flow through the core of the
dam during the first impounding was considered in the condition of
unsaturated.This paper intended to study the literature available regarding the
flow through the core of the dam. The factors affecting the flow through the
core such as pore pressure parameters, empirical equations governing the flows
on the core and volume change will be discussed.
