Kajian Pengaruh Masa Pemeraman (Curing) Terhadap Kekuatan Tanah Lempung Lunak Di Padang yang Distabilisasi dengan Bahan Aditif Kapur

building in Indonesia, more specifically in Padang are located on doft soils.
The two major problems of building in soft soils are large settlement and low
bearing capacity. Soil improvement using lime additives was studles in
research. The research was done in laboratory scale, using disturbed soils. The
soil sample which was used in this soil stabilization research was taken from
jondul Rawang Padang. Its physical and mechanical properties such as unconfined
compressive strength parameters. There additive were content were used, 5 %, 10
% and 15 % with respect is dry weight of soil, with five different curing times
of 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28 days. The plasticity index of soil was 4,97%. After lime
stabilization the plasticity indexes decreased with increasing additive
contents. Compaction tess on original soil gave maximum dry density decreased
and the optimum moister content increased. The unconfined compressive strength
increased from 0 to 10% lime content, and decreased for 15 % lime content,
exept curing 14 and 28 days increased for 15 % lime content. The unconfined
compressive strength increased with linger curing time, which can said that the optimum curing
was 28 day.
