Intensitas Turbulen Pada Aliran Seragam Bersedimen Suspensi Dengan Material Dasar Bergerak
Abstract: Many problems has in
sediment transport such as scouring process, sedimentation, pollutant, etc,
consequently the information about turbulence intensity, often needed. By The
Root Mean Square (RMS), which is based on the velocity distribution data, in
generally can used to predict the turbulence intensity. Often many constrains
was founded in the field, during the measurement of the river flows to be done,
such as to decided certain point location of measurement of wide river section,
this fact lead inaccuracies in the prediction of turbulence
intensity.Characteristic of turbulence intensity in this research was collect
by direct experiment method, used rectangular section of flume transversally.
Data collection measured by five locations ½ B, ¼ B, 1/8B 1/16 B and 1/30 B,
where B is flume width. Velocity and sediment concentration of flows was
measured by probe device. Result of the research shown that distribution of turbulence
intensity of flow value is rise transversally. The increasing of suspended
sediment concentration could descendant of the turbulence intensity.
