INTERAKSI, PERSEPSI DAN SIKAP MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KAWASAN SUAKA MARGASATWA (Studi Kasus di Kawasan Suaka Margasatwa Pelaihari Kabupaten Tanah Laut)
Abstract: The Pelaihari
Wildlife conservation area, is one of seven special forest area, in South
Kalimantan, been decreed as a conservation area. At the reserve area are living
local people that are interacting with the area.The interaction is correlated
with various perception and attitude of the local people. So it is necessary to
find out the value of perception and attitude of those people. Based on the
matter a research has been conducted with the aims to acquire the factual
picture om interaction. The method used is methods of qualitatife approach and
quantitative technique. It is found out that the form of interaction is a arid
of forest land utilization, settlement area of Muara Sebuhur sub-village, illegal
logging, cattle herding area and fish pounds. The score of perception is 70% of
non knowledge of the area 90% of non knowledge of any conservation measures.
However 50% of people show positive attitude to the reserve are as land for
productive utilization.
