DETEKSI SENYAWA BIOAKTIF AURI (Acacia Auriculiformis Cunn. ex Benth.) BERDASARKAN BAGIAN POHON MENGGUNAKAN KROMATOGRAFI LAPIS TIPIS (KLT)
Abstract: Plants have been the
chief source of compounds of medicine for thousand of years. Plants are also
the source of many medicines for the majority of the world’s
population.Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is the simplest and cheapest method
of detecting plant constituents because the method is easy to run, reproducible
and requires little equipment. The distance traveled by the pigment is
characteristic for a specific set of conditions and this distance may be used
to identify the compound. Previous
study, we successfully isolated bioactive compound toward Ganoderma philippii
from heartwood of Auri. In this study, we try to detect that bioactive compound
(called as standard) from another part of tree.
All of part of Auri (Acacia auriculiformis Cunn. ex Benth.) was
maserated by n-hexane and followed by methanol, overnight. Each methanol extract was detected by
TLC. Based on its distance travelled, we
compared it with standard (previously study).
Only heartwood have bioactive compound as same as standard. Therefore, we conclude this bioactive
compound could isolated from heartwood only.
