ANALISIS SIFAT FISIKA BAMBU APUS (Gigantochloa apus KURZ) BERDASARKAN POSISI DI SEPANJANG BATANG
Abstract: Bamboo is an old
stuff cultivar for Indonesia, especially in a rural area. Bamboos grow in wide
range of altitude, from shore to mountainous regions. The aim of this study is to examine physical
properties of Apus bamboo cultivars. Samples are taken from one Apus cultivar.
Each pole was divided into three parts: basal, middle and apical. Data were analyzed by factorial scheme of
Completely Randomized Design and HSD test was used for multiple comparison. The result showed that fresh water content,
air dried water content, specific gravity and the thick decrease from fresh
condition to air dried condition and from fresh condition to kiln dried
condition of bamboo Apus respectively equal to 77,93%; 11,52%; 0,57; 11,54% and
12,70%. To complete this research it is
needed a research of more indepth on the growth sites of bamboo including type
of land and climate estimated having effects on the nature of bamboo.
