Pemikiran Takdir Ibnu Rusyd dan Implikasinya Terhadap Persoalan Pemahaman Etos Kerja
Abstract: Destiny is a very
queer problem. It makes all moslem thinkers confused to understand between the absolute
fatalism and the absolute free will. According to Ibnu Rusyd, human being have
freedom in doing and also able to create their deeds. But that way, not all
their will can be executed. That matter is caused of existence of other factors
which can assist or discomfit their effort in reaching their will. That other
factor is the God’s destiny poured in the form of sunnatullah or the law of
causality going into effect continuously in this universe and ordinary referred
as the natural law. It means that human being are stimulated and motivated to
think and have masterpiece, so that what they have desired is reachable
according to their abilities.
