Begalan sebagai Komunikasi Tradisional Banyumas (Studi Deskriptif Komponen Komunikasi dalam Kesenian Begalan)
Abstract: This research
entitle is The Begalan as The Banyumas Traditional Communication (a Descriptive
Studies of Communication Component in Begalan Art). The aim of this research is
to describe the communication component of Begalan as part of traditional communication
at Banyumas Regen-cy, and to know the modification of the Begalan. This
research use a qualitative method with
the descriptive and interpretative paradigm. The target of this research
are the group of Tambaksari Begalan by using the informan in that group. Data was
collected by depth
interview with the
informan and using
documentation of the resesearch before, and by means of
references. The result of this research show that Begalan Art still exist
nowadays as a form of traditional communication at Banyumas regency. However,
there are some modification in the component of communication, specifically for
the media and the message to be used at the Begalan performance. It is
necessary to conserve
the Begalan Art,
both by the
goverment and the
group of Begalan. Modification need no too much, in
order to preserve the unique.
