PERAN GENDER PADA TANGGUNGJAWAB PENGASUHAN DAN PENDIDIKAN ANAK PASCA PERCERAIAN (STUDI KASUS DI WILAYAH PENGADILAN AGAMA KOTA MALANG)
ABSTRACT: The objective of
this research was to study the gender role and equality in care and education
responsibility of their children after divorce, especially in the Religious
Court area of Malang city.
Survey method was used and fifteen families as respondent in this
research were taken with purposive
sampling that were based on education and monthly earnings level of the women
after divorce. The level of education were S1,Senior High School and below
Junior High School. The monthly earnings were more than 2; 1 up to 2 and below
1 million rupiahs. The data’s were
collected by simple questioner techniques and interview. If there were anxious
data’s its to be continued in in-depth interview. The observation and
literature studies must be done to accuracy data’s collections. The datas were
tabulated and were analised by Harvard method that were adapted from Overholt
et al (Sugiarti and Handayani, 2007).
The result, that were no equality
in gender role especially in care and education responsibility of their
children after divorce due to the widow live out of the city, they have marry again and widow and the widow family
factors.
The Mother role in caring especially for physic and attention to their
children very dominant and significant than father, and also to the education
responsibility especially in giving attention and facilities. The together role
of father and mother in the based of S1, SHS and JHS education level were
10,3%; 3,3% and 4,3%. Only 1,3% from total respondents, father give totally the
education fee.
From this research, we perhaps its will as input for Religious Court
especially in the divorce matter resolving, it must to attention for the
widower in care and education responsibilities for their children especially if
the children follow their mother after divorce.
The decisions must be observed and be controlled.
