Abstract: Methanol and CH2-Cl2
fraction of Dracontomelon dao leaves were proven as scavenger of
2,2-diphenyle-1-picrylhidrazyl (DPPH) radical that stronger than vitamine E.
There were no previous study about effective concentration of CH2Cl2
-methanol for extraction of Dracontomelon dao leaves. The were macerated and then
the best concentration of CH2Cl2 -methanol extract was
defined based on the highest percentage of DPPH scavenger activity and total flavonoid.
The studies show that the best solvent is CH2Cl2-methanol with the comparison
of 1:9.
