ANALISIS TINGKAT BAHAYA EROSI PADA KAWASAN REKLAMASI TAMBANG BATU BARA PT JEMBAYAN MUARABARA KALIMANTAN TIMUR
Abstract: Coal mining using
open mining techniques such as those undertaken by PT Jembayan Muarabara East
Kalimantan has many negative impacts, namely the changing conditions of an
environment by decreasing soil productivity, soil compaction, erosion and
sedimentation, as well as land or landslide movement. To cope with the impacts
of this open mining model, reclamation and rehabilitation of former mine sites
is being carried out to improve the condition of the open area. This study aims
to determine the Level of Erosion Hazard (LEH) in the reclamation area of PT
Jembayan Muarabara. This research was conducted in three reclamation areas ie
Disposal area, Stock Soil area and
Revegetation area of PT Jembayan Muarabara Kutai Kartanegara East Kalimantan.
The erosion rate research using stick method with several stages of erosion
measuring plot (EMP) size are 20 m × 20
m as many as 3 pieces are EMP of Stock Soil, EMP of Disposal and EMP of
Revegetasi. On each EMP the sub EMP is made of 5 mx 5 m and at each end mounted
erosion stick made from stainless, and soil sampling for physical properties.
The results showed that the potential erosion rate occurred in the active
Disposal area was 2822.40 ton / ha / yr, then in the Stock Soil area was 884.40
ton / ha / yr, while the lowest erosion rate was 499.12 ton / ha / yr. The
three plots about the Level of Erosion Hazard were very heavy.
