APLIKASI TRICHOKOMPOS DAN PUPUK NPK PADA BIBIT KAKAO (Theobroma cacao L.) DI MEDIUM GAMBUT
Abstract: The research is to study the effect application
of Trichokompos and NPK fertilizer on the growth of cocoa seeds (Theobroma
cacao L.) on peat medium. This research was conducted at Experimental Garden of
Agricultural Faculty of University of Riau, Campus of Bina Widya, Tampan,
Pekanbaru from March to June 2016. The research in form factorial used
Randomized Complete Design (RCD). The first factor is Trichokompos consist of 4
levels: (0, 50, 100 and 150 g/seed) and the second factor is NPK fertilizer
consist of 4 levels: (0, 2, 4 and 6 g/seed) each treatment combination was
repeated 3 times. Parameters observed included height of seeds, number of
leaves, stem diameter, root volume, root canopy ratio and dry weight of seeds.
The results showed that the application of Trichokompos dose 150 g/seed and NPK
festilizer dose 2 g/seed the height of seeds, stem diameter, root volume and
dry weight of cocoa seeds increated compared to other, except in combination
with higher doses. Different canopy ratios are not evident in any combination
of Trichokompos and NPK fertilizers.
