Analisis Pengaruh Perubahan Arus Eksitasi Terhadap Arus Jangkar dan Faktor Daya Motor Sinkron Tiga Fasa

Abstract: This paper aimed to analyze the effect of changing excitation current to the armature current (Ia) and power factor (cos ΓΈ) on 3-phase synchronous motor behavior.
This research was conducted in Electrical Energy Conversion Laboratory Department of Electrical Engineering FT-UNP with a limitation of the study as follows: Analysis of experiments based on the equipment available at the Electrical Energy Conversion Laboratory Department of Electrical Engineering Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padang.
Results illustrate the excitation current changes affect the value of the armature current IA synchronous motor when the load on variasikanp. Flow anchor has greater value when leading or lagging power factor. In Synchronous Motor with a load when the load increases and the excitation is given the same value, the armature current will be greater. Synchronous motor for different loads, it can be seen that when operating at the same power factor, excitation current at full load is greater than the excitation current at full load and half load of zero.
